Bio Edit

Like a hibernating bear, the Heavy appears to be a gentle giant. Also like a bear, confusing his deliberate, sleepy demeanor with gentleness will get you ripped limb from limb. Though he speaks simply and moves with an economy of energy that’s often confused with napping, the Heavy isn’t dumb, he’s not your big friend, and he generally wishes you’d just shut up before he has to make you shut up. He appears to be Russian in descent and his custom minigun is lovingly nicknamed 'Sasha'.

SummaryEdit

The Heavy's primary objective is to attract attention from the enemy team towards himself, in order to draw fire away from his own team. He mainly uses the Minigun, in order to attract multiple enemies at once, or within a short time, but he has a pretty powerful melee attack, and is known to blast some enemies with his shotgun when the situation calls for it.

TipsEdit

  • As a slow-moving target with a big head, you're irresistible to snipers and spies. Watch your back and your head.
  • The heavy is probably the best "group class". He's not so strong alone, but with a team backing him up, he's a monster.
  • Heavy rushes are phenomenally powerful. However, don't try this for more than one or two rounds, or the enemy will exploit your weaknesses.
  • Always rev up your minigun as you walk around corners.


Counter-StrategyEdit

  • The heavy is a high-priority target, but don't let him distract you from the rest of the enemies.
  • A lonely heavy is a vulnerable heavy. If you can get the drop on him, you can usually land at least a few good shots on him before he has time to rev up his gun.
  • With heavies, Spies should try and go in for the kill while he's fighting. A heavy in combat isn't likely to turn around to check for spies.
  • Don't be ashamed to run from a heavy. He's not likely to try and chase you down.
  • Heavies are very vulnerable to hit-and-run attacks. When he starts spinning up his gun, run away. When he turns it off, pop out and fire some shots into him.
